Carbon Pathfinder: ‘Next Big Thing in Tech’

Each year, a panel of Fast Company editors and writers reviews and selects technologies they believe stand above the rest. JLL’s Carbon Pathfinder was recently named one of 2023’s “Next Big Things in Tech” winners. Carbon Pathfinder is in good company with 119 industry leaders and up-and-coming brands across 29 categories—including AI and Data, E-Commerce and Retail, Robotics and Automation, and Security and Privacy—named to the list. The judges evaluated 1,300 submissions, considering both the technologies’ immediate successes as well as their staying power with long-term growth and impact.

Highlighted as a game changer in building and real estate, Carbon Pathfinder was recognized as one of the 4 Next Big Things in buildings and real estate technology for planning and managing sustainability efforts. Unveiled in 2023, Carbon Pathfinder is a decarbonization investment planning technology that enables companies to forecast their climate transition risk and use data to inform asset prioritization and capital planning decisions. Carbon Pathfinder was developed by JLL Technologies and powers JLL’s Decarbonization Strategy offering, a consulting engagement that helps corporate real estate owners and investors understand their carbon footprint and develop a data-driven investment roadmap to create and protect value across their real estate portfolios.
